The highly anticipated game releases on April 1st.
The Square Enix game Outriders is finally arriving next month after it was delayed from an original release date last summer. While the game is debuting on the PlayStation, PC, and Stadia, Xbox users get something extra as the game will also debut on Xbox Game Pass so if you’re a subscriber, you no longer have to purchase the game separately.
This proves that even with PlayStation’s strong game lineup, there are still a lot of benefits with owning an Xbox. Dubbed as the ‘Netflix for games,’ Game Pass lets you pay a monthly subscription fee that will give you access to hundreds of AAA-quality titles that you can download and play. Like Netflix, titles come and go every month, but having a subscription means you would never have to worry about not having a game to play on your Xbox.
Outriders bring elements of RPG with brutal combat techniques set in the future. In the game, you wake up from cryo after 30 years of landing on Enoch, a planet that was supposed to be colonized in search of a new home for humans.
You become an ‘Altered’, which gives you different skills and abilities but there’s a catch, you’ll only be able to heal every time you kill so battling your way through enemies is the only way to survive. Outriders will also support cross-play so you can play along with friends no matter what platform they are on.
Outriders will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia on April 1st.
