Days Gone has been confirmed for a PC release.
For the longest time, console exclusives tend to live only in one platform but Sony is looking to bring some PlayStation titles to the PC starting with Days Gone releasing this spring. It’s a drastic change for the company, which previously was reluctant in bringing exclusive PlayStation titles to the PC. The PC version of Days Gone can take advantage of more powerful hardware along with support for unlocked framerates.
Sony president and CEO Jim Ryan listed a number of factors as to why it is opening up in bringing these titles to the PC. “There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognize the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward,” he said in an interview with GQ. He also added that it was easier to port to PlayStation to the PC, saying it was a ‘fairly straightforward decision to make’.

It wasn’t revealed which PlayStation titles are making their way to the PC. Sony surprised everyone when it revealed last year that one of the PS4’s biggest hits, Horizon Zero Dawn will be making its way to the PC. Guerilla Games released the PC-optimized title last August.
