Xbox One October update gives a preview of the Series S/X UI
October 18, 2020

A fresh new look and feel.

Microsoft has just started rolling out the Xbox October update that brings a fresh look and feel to the Xbox One, which will also make its way to the Xbox Series S/X when it launches early next month. The new UI rolls out to the public after being tested by Xbox Insiders last August.

The UI change is also consistent with all of the Xbox products that include the console, mobile, and PC. This makes it easier to use no matter what platform you are on. Certain aspects like tile shape, fonts, and the focus indicator have also been changed.

Also coming with the update is Customer Profiles that lets you personalize your profile even more. You can select Themes that you can change through your Xbox One or through the Xbox App on PC and the Game Bar.

The update also brings a new way to sign in to the console, where you are presented with an account you want to sign in with, in case auto sign-in is not enabled. Along with that, the new update also adds support for four new languages that include Hungarian, Greek, Slovak, and Czech.

The update should come automatically on your Xbox One.
