Google’s new Nexus devices leaks

Is this is the new Google smartphone?

While Google is busy preparing the release of its upcoming Android Nougat operating system, leaks of the supposed successor to the Nexus smartphones have started leaking online.

Two devices having the codenames ‘Marlin’ and ‘Sailfish’ are due to launch later this year and will rock the latest version of the Android operating system.

The image pictured above is for the smaller variant, Sailfish. Rumors point to a thinner build compared to the Nexus 5X, along with a 5-inch full HD screen. As well as running the latest version of Android Nougat, it will also include the new Nexus launcher earlier leaked online.

Adding to the spec sheet is possibly the new Qualcomm 820 or 821 CPU with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB – 128 GB of space plus the usual USB Type-C connection. The bigger variant, Marlin, will have the same specs, with the only difference being the 5.5-inch Quad HD screen.

9to5Google also notes that the new Nexus smartphones are scheduled to be announced this October so we have just a couple of weeks left.
