Ray tracing will be exclusive to Nvidia GPUs at launch.
Cyberpunk 2077 is probably 2020’s most anticipated game. Despite numerous delays, it looks like its December 10 release is a go, and the developers are already teasing how the game will be one of the most graphically intensive games ever released. In a Behind The Scenes video released by Nvidia, it has detailed some of the developers from CD PROJEKT RED discussing how the GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs improve gameplay.
The video showcases gameplay footage from Cyberpunk 2077 with DXR ray teaching and Nvidia DLSS and shows how it makes the game more immersive with these enhancements. Ray tracing improves reflections that show on any possible surface along with naturally soft shadows and illuminated streets and shops.
Along with that, CD PROJEKT RED has also released the recommended system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077, showing which cards are the best fit to experience the game with RTX ON. It has also named the GeForce RTX 3070 as the official recommended GPU for ray tracing.
Cyberpunk 2077 releases on December 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A next-gen upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S will also be out sometime next year.
