February 17, 2021

Releasing this March for $100.

Microsoft has just unveiled a new wireless headset made for the new Xbox Series X/S. The Xbox Wireless Headset is available for pre-order for $100 and will be launching on March 16th, 2021. The makers said that it has consulted with different teams from audio engineering to design teams to know what the new headset should deliver.

The Xbox Wireless Headset supports lossless audio along with low latency perfect for games and just like the console, it also supports the new spatial sound technologies like Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: X that’s perfect for more immersive gameplay.

A built-in microphone is also present that provides best-in-class audio performance with intelligent chat audio quality. It has dual beamforming microphone elements that can focus on speech audio and surrounding sound. With voice isolation, the headset can easily pick up your voice instead of the surrounding noise.

The headset is made from a lightweight material and large earcups made of polyurethane leather that make it comfortable to wear since it distributes pressure evenly when worn during long sessions. Even the controls and indicators were made to match the design of the new consoles.

The Xbox Wireless Headset can also pair with multiple devices including a Windows 10 PC and is also compatible with any device that uses Bluetooth. Along with that, you can also connect your smartphone so you can simultaneously hear notifications while playing – and you can even answer calls while wearing the headset.

The headset can be customized using the Xbox Accessories app on the console, which includes controls that can fine-tune the audio output.

The Xbox Wireless Headset supports flash charging that can give up to 4 hours of usage on a 30-minute charge and up to 15 hours of battery life on a 3-hour charge.
