A new Experience Zone has just opened at Computer Plaza.
Earlier this month, XFX officially opened a new Experience Zone at the heart of Dubai’s Computer Plaza, where PC users flock to buy the latest hardware. The aim is to offer a different type of shopping experience when buying hardware. It has been a common practice that PC peripherals like graphics cards and CPUs tell you that it is the fastest or something similar – a subjective view which at times doesn’t reflect the real-time performance when you are actually using it. This is where the Experience Zone comes in, it is a place where you can have full hands-on experience on the hardware you are keen on purchasing.
Since its opening, the XFX Experience Zone has seen a significant footfall from interested PC enthusiasts. Many even gave praise to the futuristic layout and gave XFX an opportunity to connect with customers, gather feedback, and in turn get more insight on their requirements and gaming needs.
As more information is now accessible online, there has been a shift in customer knowledge concerning PC hardware. Previously, most users only know the basics, but today, you’ll find some users who already know what they want – but this isn’t a hurdle for XFX. “We do have first-hand information from the factory which allows us to have added technical edge and this could go to the minutest of the details such as the type of heatsink, the layers of PCB, the cooling mechanism, the overclocking capability, the components that have been used along with the benchmarks and testing procedures,” said Sunny Narain, Managing Director, XFXForce Technology LLC. XFX says that their team also has sufficient technical knowledge that can help assist customers.
XFX also said that support and assistance on the hardware they will be selling at the Experience Zone will not end the moment they walk out of the building. Aside from a direct warranty from XFX, they will also offer a short response time in case a product you’ve bought turns out to be defective. From receiving the product to checking the fault to finding a solution, everything will be seamless.
Since the Experience Zone would require hands-on experience, you may have concerns about sanitization considering the current pandemic is still not over. “Our team is equipped with masks and gloves and are adhering to social distancing at all times,” said Narain. “We thoroughly sanitize the equipment whenever one has used it irrespective of the number of times. Even if it has not been used, we have standard operating procedures for sanitization, which are followed rigorously.” Along with that, social distancing among visitors is implemented and only one person is allowed to use the hardware at a given time.
At the moment, the XFX Experience Zone is only available at Computer Plaza – but Narain added that this is just the beginning and more Experience Zones are being planned in the future. “[When] we start noticing the demand scaling up and there is further need to expand, we definitely would like to grow and allow all gamers to have similar experience in other parts of the country as well,” he concluded.
A highlight in the XFX Experience Zone is a gaming machine powered by a 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper with 64GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD along with a 4TB HDD, and a custom-made water cooling loop. For graphics, the monster machine will be powered by the Triple Dissipation Thicc III Ultra XFX Radeon RX 5700XT.
