Here’s what we know about the Moto Z3 Play

Mid-range smartphone to launch this summer.

While all we know about the upcoming Moto Z3 Play is a leaked render from last month, we now have more details about the mid-range smartphone thanks to an internal leaked document that gives an overview of some of the specifications and Moto Mod bundles that will come with it.

The Moto Z3 Play is said to include a Snapdragon 636 CPU along with 4 GB of RAM and your choice of 32 GB or 64 GB of storage with an option to expand it using microSD. Rounding off the specifications is a 3,000 mAh battery plus a large, 6-inch 18:9 AMOLED display which they are branding ‘Max Vision’.

It was explained that with the larger screen, Lenovo had to remove the front-facing fingerprint sensor and it could not also place it at the back since it will block the placement of Moto Mods if you want to use them. To solve this, Lenovo has placed the fingerprint sensor on the side and has included a new face unlock feature on the Moto Z3 Play.

The Moto Z3 Play will also come with special bundles with your choice of Moto Mods, including an extra battery, style shell, gamepad and a projector.

More details should be available in the next few weeks, with the report concluding that it could be released this summer.
