Honor 9: Go for Sapphire Blue!

September 14, 2017

Prices start at AED 1,599

After its global unveil in Berlin, Honor have announced the Honor 9 smartphone in the UAE. As the flagship smartphone in an internet-optimized product line, millennials are the target group.

The Honor 9 comes all-guns blazing on the specs side, with a 20MP + 12MP dual-lens camera, Kirin 960 chipset, 6GB RAM, EMUI 5.1 and a focus on audio quality. In terms of storage, the device comes in 128 GB and 6GB storage with an expandable storage option of upto 256 GB.

And let’s not forget the design, an aspect that sets apart Honor devices.  In terms of colors, the Sapphire Blue is an easy highlight.

The Honor 9 also marks a strategic step for the brand, as this is the first time the Huawei name is missing from marketing statements. It’s a step towards Honor becoming a standalone smartphone brand, far from the shadow of its mother company.

Available in Glacier Grey and Sapphire Blue, the Honor 9 will retail at AED 1,599 for the 4GB RAM +64GB ROM version and AED 1,999 for the 6GB RAM +128GB ROM cut.
