It’s basically the P9 in an all-glass body.

Huawei has just announced the new Honor 8, part of the company’s budget Honor lineup. It mirrors the specifications present on the Huawei P9 but costs less than half in retail price.

The Honor 8 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor along with 3 or 4 GB of RAM along with up to 64 GB of internal storage plus the EMUI 4.1 that is based Android Marshmallow.

Rounding off the specifications is a full HD 5.2-inch display along with a 12 megapixel camera plus a front facing 8 megapixel camera. It uses USB Type-C for charging and data transfers and supports dual SIMs out of the box. A fingerprint sensor plus an expandable micro SD card slot is also provided.

The main thing that you would probably notice about the Honor 8 is the aluminum frame placed around the body that is covered in glass at the front and back. The sleek design makes it feel more premium than the others.

No word yet on pricing, but at the moment the Honor 8 will initially be available in China.
