Just this past weekend Amazon has announced more than a dozen new products powered by its Alexa assistant. The new devices include redesigned Echo smart speakers plus a new microwave that’s also powered by the virtual assistant.
First off is the redesigned Echo Dot, which the company says is the best-selling smart speaker on Earth. The smart speaker boasts a fabric exterior and will be priced at $49, the same price as the original Echo Dot.
Also announced is the second-generation Echo Plus speakers that include a mesh exterior where you can also connect with other smart devices. The speaker also includes a thermometer, where Alexa can use it to control your air conditioning if it gets too hot or too cold.
Also announces is the Echo Input, Echo Link, Echo Link Amp, and the Echo Sub that further expands the company’s audio line. Our favorite may be the Echo Auto, a new accessory that you can plug into your car and yes, it’s also powered by Alexa.
The company has also introduced the AmazonBasics Microwave, Smart Plug and Echo Wall Clock that also features Alexa voice control.
Also presented during the keynote is a new Echo Show that now comes with a larger 10-inch display and an 8-mic array.
Most of the products are now available for pre-order and will be launching the following month.
