New iPad Pros to be announced.
As expected, Apple has started sending out invites for its upcoming October keynote where they will be announcing the next generation iPad Pros. Announced with a tagline of ‘There’s more in the making’ – it is likely the next generation iPad Pros will now feature Face ID just like the current generation iPhones.
It is also reported that Apple might be announcing an updated MacBook Pro as well, though it is likely that they will introduce a new design and will probably just include internal hardware upgrades.
Apple’s second event this fall though won’t be taking place in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino like last month for the iPhone XS/iPhone XR. This time, Apple’s October keynote is going East Side in Brooklyn.
As mentioned, the new iPad Pros will now reportedly incorporate Face ID along and will thinner bezels. A new 11-inch size will replace the 10.5-inch size along with the same 12.9-inch size. But the biggest change on these new iPads is the use of a USB-C port that now replaces the Lightning port.
This weekend and the next will be a busy day for Apple. Aside from the scheduled release of iOS 12.1 that will finally bring dual-SIM support to the iPhone XS, the iPhone XR is also scheduled to release this Friday after opening pre-orders last Friday.
More details should be revealed until the official announcement next week, so stay tuned for our full coverage.
