3rd Gen SE, the new Mac Mini… here’s what to expect at Apple’s Spring Day 2022!

February 7, 2022

The dates been leaked, March 8, and there could a ton of goodies unveiled at Apple’s Spring event 2022, the first Apple hardware event of the year.

To start off, we expect to see the new incarnation of Apple’s super popular SE line. Reports suggest the third-generation iPhone SE will likely release in the first half of 2022. The iPhone SE could feature an updated A15 Bionic, the same chipset that powers the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Reports indicate that Apple won’t change the design of the iPhone SE, meaning it will still have a 4.7-inch screen and that familiar form factor.

Then we have the iPad Air 5. The fifth-generation iPad Air is said to include an A15 Bionic chip, a 12-megapixel Ultra-Wide front camera with CenterStage support, 5G support for cellular models, and Quad-LED True Tone flash.

And could we see redux cut of the iMac? It’s been long awaited by tech enthusiasts, and rumour has it that Apple are planning a new 27-inch iMac with a mini-LED display for release in the first half of 2022. The new 27-inch iMac will reportedly support ProMotion, enabling a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz for smoother content and scrolling. The all-in-one desktop will be aimed at professional users powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, and it is possible that it will be branded as the iMac Pro. Wait and watch on this one…

The rumour mills also point to Apple likely debuting a new version of its Mac mini. More interesting are the rumours that the high-end Mac mini will be aimed at creative professional users, rather than average Mac users.

That’s it from the rumour well, let’s wait for the Apple Spring March 8 event for more!
