Rebranded store launches.
RIP Souq.com, the e-commerce site has officially rebranded to Amazon.ae and now features millions of local and international products that you can purchase – and yes, the same fast delivery and world-class customer service are included.
“Today marks a proud day for Souq and Amazon, a day that we have been working towards since the two companies came together in 2017,” said Ronaldo Mouchawar, Cofounder of Souq, Vice President of Amazon MENA. “Amazon.ae brings together Souq’s local know-how and Amazon’s global expertise, something we believe will be of significant benefit to UAE customers. Our combined team in the region has grown to over 3,600 employees, and each and every one of us is thrilled to invite UAE customers to join us on this journey, where we will continue to grow our product range, ensure great prices, and provide a convenient and safe shopping experience.”
Amazon.ae can also be accessed through the official Amazon app by changing the country in the Settings menu. The website and the app are also completely localized including support for Arabic. You can pay using international or local cards and even take advantage of the cash on delivery (COD) option. The next-day delivery option will still be honored for purchases above 100 AED or you can also use the same-day delivery option if needed.
Ronaldo Mouchawar added: “We are delighted to welcome UAE customers to Amazon.ae. Today is day one, and we will keep innovating in ways that are meaningful to customers, continuously striving to meet their wonderfully high expectations.”
You can check out Amazon UAE by visiting the website or using the Amazon app available for iOS and Android.
