Leaked image confirms crazy specs for OnePlus 8 Pro

February 24, 2020

Due to be announced next month.

Fans are already anticipating the launch of the OnePlus 8 series, which sources say might happen sometime next month. It was originally supposed to be an online-only event, but it looks like OnePlus is going ahead with a physical launch just like previous ones.

A supposed spec sheet for the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G has supposedly leaked online, which somehow confirms the crazy hardware that will power up the device.

The flagship OnePlus 8 Pro 5G will be powered by the new Snapdragon 865 processor and will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The display also gets an upgrade in the form of a new 6.65-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, up from the 90Hz display that debuted with the OnePlus 7.

Along with that, the Pro now deviates from the pop-up camera design that came with the 7 Pro and 7T Pro and will now employ a punch-hole design to accommodate the front-facing camera. Speaking of cameras, the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G will also have a triple camera setup that will include 64-megapixel, 20-megapixel, and 12-megapixel sensors.

OnePlus has always been known to offer premium hardware at an affordable price. But the release of the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G could place higher than previous models. Less expensive models will still be available, like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Lite, but if you want the best hardware you may need to shell out some dough.

It was also reported that OnePlus may finally add IPX certification on its devices, which could raise the device’s price. Previous OnePlus smartphones have proven to be water-resistant but lacks certification as it will just add extra to the retail price.

Stay tuned for more details about the OnePlus 8.
