LG AU810PB CineBeam 4K laser projector: Relish the ultimate viewing experience

May 4, 2021

There are few things that beat seeing a key Man United game in full blown glory on a 300” screen, the pulsating ambience of being one with fans, right from the comfort of your home. Or seeing the works of cinematic masters, from the green-hued adventures of James Cameron to the Mission Impossible franchise in all its hyper-adrenaline filled fury.

With the LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector, LG is offering the ultimate fully connected smart TV experience from within a home theater projector. Boasting True 4k resolution with a massive 8.3 million pixels on-screen, a unique dual laser system, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a stunning DCI P3 97% color gamut and massive connectivity, the LG AU810PB CineBeam 4K laser projector truly promises to take the home viewing experience into a whole new realm.

Exceptional Picture Quality

With 8.3 million pixels utilizing 4K UHD laser technology, the AU810PB delivers impeccable precision and detail up to a 300″ screen. Boasting a Real 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) output, the LG AU810PB CineBeam 4K laser projector is the ultimate home entertainment solution. The 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio is one of the largest native contrast ratios thanks to its laser engine, enabling the deepest of blacks. The projector also supports 12 bit color on YCBCR 4:2:2 (the native format for Blu-rays) and 10 bit color for RGB 4:4:4.

XPR Magic

The AU810PB is a true 1920x1080x4 pixel shifter, with DLP XPR technology leveraging the immense speed of the Digital Micromirror Device to process pixels faster than the rate of the video signal. The XPR chip tilts in 4 directions and operates fast enough for our eyes to see all the pixels and perceive the entire image all at once. XPR technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD’s mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip.

Dynamic HDR Tone Mapping

The LG AU810PB CineBeam 4K laser projector is unique as one of the very few projectors capable of Dynamic HDR Tone Mapping when viewing your HDR10 content. This feature automatically adjusts both the dark and bright levels to ensure the best picture and optimize the HDR performance. HDR10 and HLG aside, the LG AU810PW is compatible with almost all HDR industry standards.

A new step in sound

The lifelike, vibrant imagery aside, the AU810PB CineBeam stands apart thanks to HDMI 2.1 support with eARC with 32 channels of audio, 24 bit, 192 KHz and Atmos support. To top it all, the AU810PB projector is WiSA Ready. WiSA delivers hi-resolution digital audio wirelessly from a source device to up to eight optional powered speakers using 24-bit, 48 or 96 kHz signals, and can support 3D audio formats.

The Dual Laser Advantage

LG have rated the AU810PB ’s Laser-light engine at 2700 lumens for 20,000 hours, ensuring many years of vibrant, worry-free operation. The AU810PB uses a 2-channel laser-light source with both red and blue lasers, and a static phosphor wheel is used to generate green. By eliminating the need for a sequential color wheel, the AU810PW can reproduce 97% of the DCI-P3 color space without the need for a cinema filter. Plus, it dramatically reduces the breakup of color or the dreaded rainbow effect.

Smart Access

Interactive and fluid, WebOS 5.0 is the cornerstone on which the AU810PB CineBeam is built, and you can explore your favorite sitcoms and movies with a simple connection to your Wi-Fi network. To top it all, advanced wireless connectivity means that you can share the screen and sound conveniently via AirPlay, Screen Share and Bluetooth.

Auto Calibration

Calibrating a projector is a key step in optimizing its performance for your screen and room. And while manual calibration requires hours of setting by professional calibrators, the inclusion of Calman software on the LG AU810PB CineBeam is a key standout feature, as you can calibrate the projector for both SDR and HDR with a laptop in under an hour.
