Insane features and a new modular design.
LG has finally announced the new LG G5, a new flagship that is sure to redefine other premium smartphones – why? Because it’s the first smartphone to have a modular design, confirming earlier reports of a removable dock that can be replaced with any accessory that you can attach on the G5.
The USB-C connection is the primary port of connection on the LG G5 and the company has also confirmed the new attachments, including an external camera grip that includes a dedicated shutter button along with a 320bit DAC made by Bang & Olufsen that can deliver high-quality audio.
The LG G5 will come with a 5.3-inch always-on display that supports a 2560 x 1440-screen resolution. the power button is still located at the back, but LG has now included a new fingerprint scanner built right into it.
Additionally, the G5 will have two cameras at the back – one 16-megapixel camera and another 8-megapixel shooter. The 8-megapixel camera comes with a 135-degree field of view, and you can easily switch between cameras right from the app.
The LG G5 will have the latest Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and will of course run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is expect to be available sometime in April.
LG has also introduced new accessories during its MWC keynote, including a VR headset called the LG 360 and the LG Rolling Bot that comes close to replacing the house pet. The company has also introduced a new smart controller for drones that made in partnership with Parrot.
