MEFCC: Top 5 Things You Shouldn’t Miss
April 9, 2019

Get your geek on!

This Thursday will see the official start of the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) at the Dubai World Trade Center. The event will see all fans, artists and geeks converge in one location to celebrate everything about comics, movies, anime, manga and anything pop culture-related. There will be different zones during the con, where you will see Q & A panels, workshops and various exhibitions that will cater to everyone.

Here are some of the must-see things that you need to check out at MEFCC this weekend:

Meet the Stars

From Avengers star Benedict Wong to Shazam! himself Zachary Levi, Meet the Stars will let you get that movie merchandise autographed or take a picture with your favorite actor/actress. You can also take part in awesome celebrity panels that’s free of charge, or if you’re lucky, maybe encounter them on the show floor!

Artists Alley

MEFCC values local talent, which is why the Artist Alley is one way that you can support up and coming artists and browse their original artworks and prints – if you’re lucky, maybe they’ll even sign the artwork that you’ve brought.

Cosplay Competition

It won’t be comic con without cosplay right? MEFCC will bring out the best cosplayers in the region so aside from seeing them roam around the halls during the show, you can expect the best cosplayers to battle it out.

MEFCC Workshops

From writing scripts to learning how to draw, MEFCC will have various workshops that will cater to anyone. The best part? It’s completely free – so just head down to the show, find the schedule and attend the workshop that you like.

SWYP Mainstage

The SYWP Mainstage is where all of the magic happens. It’s the one place to go to when watching the cosplay competitions, DJ sessions and other performances.

MEFCC will commence from Thursday, April 11th to Saturday, April 13th at the Dubai World Trade Center.
