Microsoft Office now available on Android

Create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents right from your Android device.

Microsoft has finally released the Android versions of its popular Office apps. The mobile versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are now available for download on the Google Play Store after a preview program was launched a few weeks ago.

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint all function the same way as the desktop counterparts. Creating and editing documents is free but for other added functionality, and Office 365 subscription is needed. Additionally, Microsoft has launched a program that will pre load Office apps on most Android smartphones from Samsung, LG and Sony.
