It gets more expensive too.

Apple today has just announced its new line of iPhones along with a new Apple Watch. The upgrades are pretty much hardware-related and the designs mostly remain unchanged.

First on the list is the iPhone XS, which is getting a spec bump from the original iPhone X in the form of a new A12 Bionic chip with improved cameras on the rear and at the front (TrueDepth). The device still features Face ID as its main unlocking method, along with an improved camera that now lets you adjust the depth of field (bokeh) on portrait images even after you’ve taken the shot.

While the same 5.8-inch OLED display remains on the iPhone XS, a larger variant called the iPhone XS Max will feature a bigger 6.5-inch OLED display. Features are nearly similar to the iPhone XS, albeit with a larger screen.

Both the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will run iOS 12 and will come in 64 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB configurations. Pre-orders start on September 14th and will be available in the UAE on September 21st.

Next on the list is the supposedly ‘budget’ version iPhone. The iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch LCD display along with the same A12 Bionic chip found on the iPhone XS. There’s only a single 12-megapixel camera at the back, but it will have the same TrueDepth camera system that also supports Face ID.

The iPhone XR will be available in 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB configurations. Pre-orders start on October 19th and will be available in the UAE on October 26th.

The Apple Watch Series 4 will now feature a bigger screen in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, though existing bands from the 38 mm and 42 mm series will be compatible with the current generation.

The Digital Crown on the Apple Watch Series now feature Haptic Feedback and as a first on a smartwatch, and electrocardiogram. The electrical heart sensor will be able to give more accurate readings about your heart and will give you a better overview of your health.

Pre-orders on the Apple Watch Series 4 will start on September 19th and will be available on September 21st.
