New device to be announced on June 16th.
Despite HTC falling off the radar in the past few months, the company still hasn’t given up on its smartphone business, evident by the upcoming release of the new HTC Desire 20 series on June 16th. While we haven’t seen a real flagship from the company in the past years, the upcoming release Desire 20 series means the company is very still in the business.
A simple teaser from HTC Taiwan’s account confirmed the event happening on June 16, which will likely be online. Little is known about the new HTC Desire 20 series, but the image does point to a punch-hole camera on the display along with a multiple lens setup.
Since this won’t be a flagship device, expect the price to be on the affordable side. Rumors online pointed out some specifics on the hardware: Snapdragon 665 CPU, 6GB of RAM, a display with FHD+ resolution, and runs Android 10 out of the box.
While it’s great that HTC is finally introducing a new smartphone lineup, it’s interesting to see how the public will embrace the new devices, considering that we haven’t seen a new device from the Taiwanese company in a while.
