The name was confirmed last weekend.
Just a few weeks ago, we reported LG’s new swiveling smartphone with the codename ‘Wing’. Well, it turns out that LG’s new smartphone will indeed be Wing, debuting with a teaser that highlights the unique display.
The video shows how the LG Wing will differ from other dual-screen smartphones and while we still have doubts about the concept, it is indeed another interesting category for mobile devices. Reports said that the LG Wing will be the first device to be launched under LG’s Explorer Project banner. LG said that these devices “deliver distinctive and yet unexplored usability experiences”, which could explain the new display.
While the hardware is yet to be confirmed, rumors said that the LG Wing will run on a Snapdragon 765/765G CPU along with 5G support and a triple-camera setup, with the two-screen will measure 6.8-inches and 4-inches. There are also rumors pointing to a $1000 price.
More details should be revealed on September 14th when LG officially announces the Wing during its Explorer Project event.
