Fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery in less than 20 minutes.
Even with smartphones getting larger batteries that can now last for more than a day, it’s charging them that proves to be a hassle. But that’s changing as well because most smartphones now come with some form of fast charging technology. OPPO currently leads in this field, having a 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charging technology.
But that’s about to change when OPPO updates this with an even faster 125W charging technology. This beats the 100W fast charging capabilities introduced by Xiaomi last year (which wasn’t released commercially). A teaser from OPPO confirms the new charging technology at 125W – meaning that it can fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery in just 17 minutes.

It’s an interesting and admittedly impressive technology. That means that you shouldn’t wait long to fully charge your device, considering that it can now last more than a day. That being said, charging technologies like these have still not been proven how it will work long term, because the downside of this is that it can easily deplete the battery’s capacity and overall lifespan.
OPPO has an upcoming event this week that will highlight the new fast charging technology. Some pointed out that the new 125W fast-changing feature is just a concept, and might not appear in this year’s models – but who knows, maybe OPPO has something up their sleeve.
