It’s basically a Pixel 4a 5G.
Reliable leaker OnLeaks has again posted information on what seems to be Google’s next budget Pixel device. The posts also include an image of the supposed design of the Pixel 5a, and it looks oddly similar to the Pixel 4a 5G.
Not that it’s a bad thing, considering this is the budget model. But maybe some fans might be disappointed if they wanted a fresh new design for the Pixel line. OnLeaks said that the screen measures 6.2-inches and comes in a flat OLED type, with an FHD+ resolution along with a punch-hole camera at the front.
It will reportedly still feature a 3.5 headphone jack plus a rear fingerprint sensor for biometric security. Speakers will be located at the top and bottom of the smartphone for stereo listening. As for the camera, the images showcase two sensors and a flash plus an autofocus sensor. Unfortunately, processor and RAM details weren’t available.
Of course, it’s still too early for the Pixel 5a to be released. If we look at Google’s product release timeline, the Google Pixel 4a was released in August 2020, followed by the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 in October so it’s likely the Pixel 5a will be announced around the same timeframe.
