Nokia’s midrange smartphone is no longer midrange.
Along with the promise of more Nokia smartphones to release this year, HMD Global has officially announced the second generation Nokia 6 that upgrades the specifications for a fast and better experience.
The second generation Nokia 6 now features a 5.5-inch Full HD display powered by a Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat, but HMD promises that the Android Oreo update will be ready in a couple of days.
Camera comes in at 16-megapixels with f/2.0 aperture along with a front-facing 8-megapixel one. There’s also a microSD card slot so you can add more to the 32/64 GB of internal storage. There’s also a fingerprint reader at the back plus USB-C for charging and data transfers and worry not, the 3.5 mm audio jack is still there.
The second-generation Nokia 6 will be available in Black and Silver and will debut on January 10th. We’ll follow up this news with local pricing when it becomes available.
