Consider us excited.
Many of us were bummed when Xioami’s Mi Mix Fold was only going to be a China-only device. But leaker @stufflistings, also known as Mukul Sharma, said there’s a possibility that foldable smartphone could make their way to international markets for everyone to enjoy.
Sharma claimed to have found a model number that is associated with the device on the Indian IMEI database. While is not solid evidence that the device is launching outside China, it is possible that a global release is being planned considering the number of users who are interested in getting it.
Priced around $1,540 (5,656 AED), the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold is noticeably cheaper than its competitors – the Galaxy Fold from Samsung and the Mate X from Huawei. The display of the Mi Mix Fold folds inward, and when opened reveals a stunning 8-inch 2K display. Along with that, there’s also a 108-megapixel sensor with ‘liquid lens’ technology plus a custom-made ISP that offers high-quality images.
We may have to wait and see until Xiaomi officially announces the Mi Mix Fold for global release – until then, we’re left wishing and hoping that we can get our hands on it soon.
