The camera will be as good as the regular Pixel 3.
Even before it was revealed it looks like we’re getting all the information that we need about the upcoming Pixel 3 Lite from Google. This supposed affordable version of the Pixel 3 was a pre-production sample that was showcased in a video circulated online (you can view that video below).
The Pixel 3 Lite will sport a plastic exterior as opposed to the glass and metal frame. The same fingerprint sensor is located in the middle, with an all-screen design at the front. Below you will find a USB-C port for charging and data transfers along with a SIM card slot. Surprisingly, the 3.5 mm headphone jack makes a comeback which should be a welcome feature for everyone purchasing the device.
The 12.2-megapixel camera at the back of the Pixel 3 Lite is said to lack the ‘spectral and flicker sensor’ found on the more expensive models – but it was said that it is capable of taking images in the same quality as the Pixel 3.
As for the specifications, you have a 5.56-inch display with a 1080-by-2160 pixel resolution. It runs on a Snapdragon 670 CPU with 32 GB of internal memory and 4 GB of RAM. It’s running on a stock version of Android Pie.
Sources suggest the Pixel 3 Lite should arrive as early as this spring, which should be a good alternative for users who want to purchase a Pixel device but would not want to spend a lot.
