Acer launches new AMD-powered Nitro and Aspire notebooks

Delivering advanced performance for gamers, Acer has just introduced a new line of Nitro 5, Aspire 5, and Aspire 7 notebooks that are now powered by the AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors. The new AMD Ryzen processors can now deliver up to 8 cores of processor power and offer a low power consumption that’s perfect for the Nitro and Aspire line.

Additionally, the Nitro notebooks now feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs powered by the Nvidia Ampere architecture that increases energy efficiency by twofold to accelerate performance. It also features a third-generation Max-Q technology to a thin and lightweight design. 

The Acer Nitro 5 comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900 HX CPU with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. There’s also an M.2 PCIe and/or a SATA SSD support along with up to 32GB of DDR4 3200 RAM. For connectivity, there’s Wi-Fi 6 onboard and a Killer E2600.

The Nitro 5 notebooks come in 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch versions along with a high-definition (QHD) display and a 165Hz refresh rate or a full high-definition (FHD) display with up to 360Hz refresh rates. Along with that, the screen also supports a 3 ms response time to eliminate ghosting.

The Acer Nitro 5 will be available in May starting at 4,999 AED.

The Acer Aspire 7 comes powered by an AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processor that’s paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. There’s also up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1GB PCIe SSD. It has a 15.6-inch FHD display plus USB-C ports for superfast data transfers.

The notebook also has multiple cooling modes to be sure that it runs cool and quiet. Using a simple ‘Fn+F’ shortcut, you can immediately control the fan speed according to three available modes: silent, normal or performance.

The Acer Aspire 5 runs on an AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU with an AMD Radeon RX 640 GPU. It will also support up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of M.2 PCIe SSD NVMe or a 2TB HDD. It has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display along with USB-C, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6.

The Acer Aspire 5 will also be available in May starting at 2,799 AED.
