Swift 5 takes ultraportables to the next level.

Acer has also updated the Swift 5 notebook that now weights just 1 kilogram. Despite the lightweight build, the Swift 5 is still able to give you a great productivity performance that’s perfect for school, home, or office.

“The new Swift 5 pushes the envelope on what thin-and-light notebooks can be,” said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. “A productivity powerhouse housed in a sleek and ultraportable chassis, the Swift 5 is an excellent option for professionals who are always on the move and seeking a device capable of keeping up with them.”

The Swift 5 features a 14.95 mm chassis and is powered by the next-gen Intel Core processors with an optional Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. There’s also 1TB of PCIe SSD plus 16GB of LPDDRAX RAM. There are also three cooling modes available on the notebook: silent, normal, and performance, which can be adjusted on the fly depending on your needs.

Available in mist green and safari gold, the Swift 5 also includes a special hinge that slightly elevates the device every time you open the screen. This helps with the thermals and provide a more ergonomic typing experience. The Swift 5 is also packed with a 14-inch Full HD touchscreen display that also supports multi-touch gestures.

Lastly, the notebook comes with a large 56 Wh all-day battery that also supports fast-charging technology – 30 minutes of charging will already give you 4 hours of usage.

The Acer Swift 5 launches in EMEA this October starting at 1,099 EUR (4,539 AED).
