Acer’s gaming notebooks are now powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 graphics

Predator Triton and Helios series and Nitro 5 models updated.

Acer has just announced a refresh to some of its gaming notebook line that includes the Predator Triton 300 SE, Predator Helios 300, and Acer Nitro 5. All notebooks are now powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core H35-series processors made for ultraportable gaming and the Predator gaming notebooks now feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs.

The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series is based on the Nvidia Ampere architecture that increases energy efficiency by up to 2x and can even accelerate performance. The new GPUs bring ray tracing capabilities to titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and can even power GPU-accelerated apps.

“With the advancement of our 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan and related thermal technologies, we’re excited to pack even more power into our thin and portable Predator Triton series,” said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. “The Predator Triton 300 SE incorporates the new 11th Gen Intel Core H35-series processors specifically designed for ultraportable gaming and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs, plus up to 10 hours of battery life for those who need to use it for productivity between gaming sessions.”

Predator Triton 300 SE

This gaming notebook weighs just 1.7 kilograms and features an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 H35-series Special Edition processor that reaches up to 5 GHz along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. There’s also a 15-inch Full HD display that boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and 10 hours of battery life. 

Other features include a backlit 3-zone RGB keyboard and DTS:X Ultra audio along with Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, and HDMI.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 will available in the second half of 2021.

Predator Helios 300

The refreshed Predator Helios 300 now utilizes the power of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU along with up to 32GB of DDR$ RAM for the best gaming performance. There’s also a 240Hz display with a 3ms response time plus DTS:X Ultra audio and 3D simulated surround sound for a more immersive experience.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 will launch in March starting at 6,999 AED.

Acer Nitro 5

This gaming notebook runs on an 11th Gen Intel Core H35-series processor along with an Nvidia GeForce GTX GPU with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Other specifications include a pair of M.2 PCIe/SATA SSDs for storage plus a built-in NitroSense app that gives you an easy way to check system temperatures and even adjust fan speeds. There’s also a 144Hz display with a 3 ms response time along with USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 6. The keyboard features a 4-zone RGB.

The Acer Nitro 5 will be available in April starting at 4,699 AED.
