Acer’s new Chromebooks is coming to the UAE

From large-display models to more portable productivity devices.

Acer has just announced four new Chromebooks that will be available in the UAE and the rest of the EMEA next month. These models include two large-display devices and another two compact-sized ones.

First off is the Acer Chromebook 315 and the Chromebook 314, both sporting a 15.6-inch full HD screen that’s available in touch and non-touch models. The Chromebook 315 also includes a dedicated numeric keypad.

Next is the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 that has a convertible 360-degree design. At 1.2 kilograms, it’s one of the lightest 11.6-inch notebooks available. What’s more, the Chromebook also supports a WACOM EMR Stylus that you can buy separately.

Lastly, there’s the Acer Chromebook 311 that features a more traditional notebook design. It weighs only 1.06 kilograms and features an HD display with a touch and non-touch configuration.

All of the four new Chromebooks feature dual USB Type-C ports that are also used for charging. There’s also a microSD card reader that you can use to add more storage capacity to the Chromebook. Gigabit Wi-Fi is also present along with Bluetooth 5.0.

These new Chromebooks all run on the dual-core Intel Celeron N4000 or quad-core Intel Celeron N4100 processor. You also have the choice to upgrade the Chromebook 315 to an intel Pentium Silver N5000 processor.

Acer quoted the Chromebook 315 and the Chromebook 314 to deliver up to 12.5 hours of battery life while the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 and Chromebook 311 can last up to 10 hours after a full charge.
