Asus debuts two new notebooks made for power users and gamers

Asus has just announced two new notebooks that include the new ZenBook Flip 13 OLED (UX363) convertible and the ROG Strix Scar series gaming laptops. Both laptops deliver uncompromised performance and deliver top-of-the-line quality as you can expect with Asus devices.

World’s thinnest convertible 13-inch laptop

The Asus ZenBook Flip 13 OLED (UX363) is an Intel Evo Platform-verified device that offers an exceptional mobile experience powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris X graphics. There’s a brilliant OLED touchscreen, and is only 13.3 mm thin and weighs just 1.3 kilograms.

The UX363 also includes up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSD. Despite the slim build, the notebook has a full-size HDMI port along with USB Type-A ports as well as Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports so you can connect a wide range of peripherals. 

The notebook’s OLED display also has a 360-degree ErgoLift hinge that allows it to be used in different modes including laptop, tablet, tent, stand, or anything in between. When in laptop mode, the UX363 also lifts the keyboard for a comfortable typing experience.

Lastly, the UX363 has a 67 Wh battery that can deliver up to 14 hours of usage from a single charge. What’s more, it also supports fast charging using the included 65-watt charger.

The Asus ZenBook Flip 13 OLED (UX363) will be available starting today, February 18th in the UAE from Virgin Megastore, Jumbo, Sharaf DG, Emax, Ecity, Computronic, and Amazon. The price starts at 5,299 AED.

Play with a 300Hz/3ms panel

Asus has also launched the new ROG Strix Scar series notebooks in 15-inch and 17-inch sizes. Both gaming notebooks have been engineered from the ground up that offer performance needed for competitive gameplay.

Made for esports players, the ROG Strix Scar 17 G773 has a large 17.3-inch IPS panel with a 300Hz refresh rate, making it the world’s fastest laptop display. It also comes with a 3ms response time. The ROG Strix Scar 15 G533 on the other hand, has a 15.6-inch screen with the same 300Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Both notebooks feature Adaptive-Sync technology as a standard feature across the series, matching the refresh rate with the GPU’s frame rate to eliminate screen tearing, stuttering, and reduce input lag.

The notebooks also utilize the power of the new Nvidia RTX 30 series GPUs – up to an RTX 3080 on the Scar 17 and RTX 3070 on the Scar 15. Along with that, there’s also support for up to a Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU for both models. The Scar 17 in particular can be retrofitted with 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM with dual hyper 1TB solid-state drives.

The new Strix gaming notebooks also offer an optional mechanical keyboard, which eliminates debounce delay with a response time of only 0.2 ms. It’s also more durable, capable of withstanding up to 100 million presses. These notebooks also feature up to 12 hours of playback thanks to a 90 Wh battery that also supports fast charging.

The ROG Strix Scar 15 G533 is now available with prices starting at 8,999 AED while the ROG Strix Scar 17 G733 starts at 10,999 AED. Both notebooks are available today in the UAE from Sharaf DG, Jumbo, Emax, Ecity, Computronics, Virgin Megastores, and Amazon.
