Rumor suggests that Apple could introduce new MacBooks with iMac-style colours

A red MacBook? Yes, please!

One of the intriguing parts of Apple’s Spring Loaded keynote was the introduction of the multi-coloured iMacs powered by the M1 chip. As customers eagerly await the release of these new desktops, there are now rumours floating around that Apple could also introduce new colours for the MacBook.

Famed Apple leaker Jon Prosser mentioned in a video that Apple has been testing various prototypes of the new MacBook model in different colours similar to the iMac, from blue to red. These new colours will likely be made for the cheaper MacBook model – likely the Air.

Along with this, Apple could also introduce the new MacBook that will now be powered by the newer-generation M2 chip. Additionally, other rumours point to a newer MacBook Air coming with a Mini LED display – though don’t expect it to release this year.

Since its inception, the MacBook has always had muted colours but the introduction of a multi-coloured option could spark renewed interest from consumers.

We want to ask you, do you want to purchase a MacBook in a different colour? Why or why not? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
