It even has a 144Hz display!

It’s been just a couple of months since Nubia announced its latest flagship, but the Chinese company is back with an even better device. Meet the Red Magic 5G, a smartphone that brings high-end to a whole new level.

It’s primarily a gaming phone, evident by the fancy design and RGB lighting that surrounds it. You’d immediately notice the multi-textured finish, but if you look closer, there are two vents on each side of the Red Magic 5G that direct heat away from the internal hardware.

That heat is diverted via a small cooling fan located inside, a first of its kind in a smartphone. When combined with liquid cooling (which the Red Magic 5G also supports), it helps keep the CPU temperature cool and manages to control the heat generated when fast charging the device.

That’s not all, the Red Magic 5G also includes a 6.65-inch AMOLED display that comes with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, the highest we’ve seen on any smartphone. You might think it’s overkill, but clearly users are seeing a difference when using mobile displays with a high refresh rate, especially when playing games.

Other specifications include a Snapdragon 865 CPU along with 16GB of RAM and 256Gb of storage. There’s a triple camera setup at the back that includes the main 64MP sensor and a4,500 mAh battery. It runs Android 10, with a custom Red Magic OS customization.

Right now, you can only get the Red Magic 5G in China along with select markets that include the US, UK, the EU, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Macao, where the price starts at just ¥3,799 (just around 2,000 AED). If you’re a die-hard mobile gamer, maybe you should go check out the Nubia Red Magic 5G.
