Touring around UAE universities, the best shots will get a prize.

OPPO is bringing its smartphone photography expertise around the UAE through its OPPO Week university tour that will offer workshops on smartphone photography. The tour will visit eight universities and give students the opportunity to learn about capturing professional-level images from their smartphones. As a bonus, students that take the best photographs are slated to win a prize.

The OPPO Week tour will be visiting the following universities: Heriot-Watt University, Middlesex University, BITS Pilani Dubai, University of Wollongong Dubai, American University of Sharjah, Manipal University, SAE Institute, and Amity University Dubai.

The tour will last for a week and includes various activities including a workshop that will bring in photography experts to teach about mobile phone photography. OPPO smartphones will be available at the venue for students to try out, and photographs that they share on social media will be automatically entered into the competition. There will be one prize each week for every tour, along with an overall winner after the tour ends.

“OPPO believes in the power of youth and the spirit of creation – which, when combined, become a [unstoppable] force of innovation. This is something that we aim to encourage through our latest OPPO Reno smartphone series, which provides young people with the means to experience their world in a new light, through groundbreaking photography capabilities. The OPPO Week tour is an opportunity for us to inspire students, to teach them how to get the most out of their mobile photography, and to encourage them to look at the world through a new lens – through the Reno smartphone series,” said Ethan Xue, President of OPPO Middle East and Africa (MEA) in statement.
