People are drilling holes on their iPhones

September 27, 2016

Please, don’t do it.

TechRax has just uploaded a video in its YouTube last week showing a ‘hack’ to put back the headphone jack in the iPhone 7. The video, which shows drilling on the underside of the smartphone to get back the headphone jack, was clearly made to poke fun at Apple’s decision to remove the “old” 3.5 mm port.

It may come as a surprise, but some people actually believed it.

Hours after the video was posted, there were some reports saying that they tried the method and is now left with a broken smartphone.

We can’t confirm the authenticity of the posts, but it should serve as a warning that please, do not drill holes on your smartphone.
