Razer is launching a chat app for Pokémon Go players

July 21, 2016

It’s a good time to socialize as well.

The concept of playing Pokémon Go may only be limited to you looking down on your smartphone – but Razer wants to make that experience more sociable.

A new chat service called RazerGo would let you talk to other players within a 3 to 600 mile radius. The service will let you talk to other players of the same team or on a public chatroom. It’s location-aware, so most of the players you will see are likely from the same area.

Pokémon Go is the new augmented-reality game that has now taken over the world – millions of downloads have already been reported and the game hasn’t officially released in the region at the moment.

Razer is also planning to release accompanying Android and iOS apps for RazerGo. For now, you can check out RazerGo as a web-based app and sign in using your Razer ID.
