RTA introduces app competition for students

January 30, 2015

A way to improve their smart services better through the help of students.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is launching a competition for students to develop an app that can complement their current Smart app services. If you remember, RTA recently just launched a plethora of apps available for smartphones where residents can take advantage of various services right on their fingertips.

In an interview on The National, team head Ahmed Hashem said that the competition is to help the RTA learn more about the strengths and weaknesses of their apps – and from there be able to deliver the best possible service they can offer to everyone.

The competition will be held from May 10 while registration starts on the March 10. No prizes were announced, but three winner will be chosen once the competition ends.
