January 15, 2015

The Samsung Z1 will cost only $90.

Samsung has just announced the availability of their first Tizen-powered smartphone in India. The Z1 (not be confused with Sony’s Xperia Z1) will be initially launched in the country as a mid-range handset.

The Samsung Z1 will be powered by a 1.2 GHz processor along with 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of memory that can of course expand using the microSD card slot – and it support dual SIMs. Additional specifications include a 4-inch screen, a 3.1 megapixel camera and 1,500 mAh battery.

Samsung is also partnering with local entities in India to deliver local content on the smartphone. This includes Hungama.com that gives you access to more than 7,000 tracks from both Hollywood and Bollywood. Purchasing the Z1 smartphone will give a free 3 month subscription and will cost about $28 monthly after.
