There’s a solar eclipse coming, and you can watch it here

December 13, 2020

The solar eclipse won’t be visible in the UAE.

A total solar eclipse is happening tomorrow, December 14th, but unfortunately, it won’t be visible for us here in the UAE. The last total solar eclipse to take place this year will only be visible in the southern part of South America, where people from certain regions of Chile and Argentina will get to witness the eclipse.

Worry not though, as timeanddate.com has provided an alternative (and safer) way to watch the eclipse through a livestream link above. If you’re lucky enough to experience a solar eclipse in your place, note that you must take precautionary measures when viewing it. Never look at the sun directly without any protection, use glasses made to filter out the sun’s bright rays so you can see it properly.

You may have to wait until October 22nd, 2020 until you get to see an eclipse in the UAE. That is when a partial solar eclipse will be viewable in the country.
