Apple’s or Google’s?
It’s not a slow news day. But unarguably one tweet sparked a whole of interest from social media thanks to a simple cheeseburger emoji. It even caught the eye of Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
I think we need to have a discussion about how Google’s burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top pic.twitter.com/PgXmCkY3Yc

The tweet originated from Thomas Baekdal, who pointed out the main differences between Apple’s cheeseburger emoji to Google’s. In the Apple version, the cheese conveniently sits on top of the meat patty, which what I’m personally used it. He then pointed out that on the Google version, the cheese is below the meat patty, which of course irked some users (a shallow debate, but hey it’s the internet).
The cheeseburger debate even caught the eye of other users who compared it with other brand’s emojis like Samsung and Huawei. While Pichai did say that Google will work on the emoji to see what the correct form is, it looks like it isn’t the priority at the moment, considering the numerous issues that have been plaguing the recent launch of the Pixel 2 smartphone.
Will drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday:) if folks can agree on the correct way to do this! https://t.co/dXRuZnX1Ag

But we still have the question – which emoji is the correct one? Give us your thoughts in the comments below.
