During Saudi’s National Day celebrations, various campaigns were done on Snapchat for the occasion, which is one of the most popular social media platforms in the country. Content such as lenses was available for everyone in the Kingdom and was proven to be a hit amongst Saudi Snapchatters. In fact, more than 355,000 hours of AR playtime were recorded using the available lenses activated by the different app partners that include STC, Abdul Samad AlQurashi, and Mobily.
The AR tools were made to bring back the hype to the Saudi people after a rather bleak year, especially with the ongoing pandemic. It also aims to inspire the world with Saudi’s optimism, resilience, and of course, their various accomplishments.

Lenses is one of the most popular AR tools accessible through Snapchat. These tools also pioneered the use of AR which has already been copied by other social media networks. In KSA, 90 percent of persons aged 13 – 34 years are using Lenses almost every single day.
