Twitter is celebrating with Saudi Arabia for #SaudiNationalDay
September 24, 2020

The Saudi flag has been tweeted more than 27 million times since last September.

Twitter is one of the platforms where Saudis expressed their love for their country during #SaudiNationalDay. As one of the highlights of Saudi Arabia’s social calendar, the country-wide celebrations also included tweets from Saudis that included the Saudi flag, which has been tweeted 27 million times worldwide since last September.

The Kingdom is celebrating its 90th year, and Twitter introduced a new 90-minute trivia quiz using the @TwitterMENA account launched just before Saudi National Day. The virtual celebration encouraged people to share their knowledge about the Kingdom that included historical moments, arts, and other hidden gems.

Twitter also teamed up with different Saudi experts to cover a range of sectors like food, travel, history, entertainment, sports, and education. Some of the featured experts include Abdullah Al Jumah (@AAlJumah), Abdulaziz Alyami (@azeez000a), Dr. Bandar Alghamiz (@BAlghmaiz), Bader Al Fouzan (@B_alfouzan), Malk Alsulaimy (@ARCH1993), and Abdulelah Alfares (@AbdulelahAlfars).

Twitter has also created a special emoji of the Saudi flag that will appear once the following hashtags are tweeted:

  • اليوم_الوطني_السعودي#
  • 2020اليوم_الوطني_السعودي#
  • 90اليوم_الوطني_السعودي#
  • السعودية#
  • #SaudiNationalDay
  • #SaudiNationalDay2020
  • #SaudiNationalDay90

Twitter has also launched an event page where years can see real-time updates on different activities during Saudi National day. The page is accessible in Arabic and English.
