He will now make a new camera app that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Earlier this year, we found out the Google’s head of Pixel photography Marc Levoy has left the company in a move that surprised everyone. It somehow painted a grim note on the Pixel smartphone, which has gained recognition as one of the best camera smartphones available.
Fast forward to today, and we now know that Levoy has actually joined Adobe to work on a new camera app. This could be a huge deal for both parties since Levoy spearheaded the Pixel line and Adobe just introduced its new Photoshop Camera to everyone.

In case you aren’t aware, Levoy applied various technologies to the Pixel cameras that made it one of the best. This includes HDR+, Night Sight, and even Astrophotography. Even the algorithm that runs behind these cameras was also part of Levoy’s work.
With Levoy now part of Adobe, there’s a good chance that the next camera app that they would be releasing can contain some form of technology that can match the Pixel camera. Third-party camera apps are hit and miss, especially for Android devices, but with Levoy now behind some of Adobe’s camera apps, we could expect a great camera app that can be enjoyed by everyone.
