Facebook finally gains Dark Mode
June 29, 2020

Rolling out to all users.

Facebook is finally gaining Dark Mode support, after all of its other apps like Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp got the feature a few months back. A couple of users have started reporting that they found a new Dark Mode setting inside the Facebook app, which confirms that the feature is now rolling out.

Details of a Dark Mode setting were already reported earlier this year, which revealed that the setting won’t be a ‘complete black’ setting but is instead limited to a more dark grey tone. Some users might not be completely on board with this since a complete black setting will look good on an OLED display which most smartphones now support.

A bunch of users has started tweeting about the new look, accessible through the Settings panel inside the Facebook app. Most users have reported it to appear on iOS devices, but Facebook said that it will also be available for iOS users.

Facebook did say that Dark Mode will be rolling out initially to a small number of users around the world and didn’t make clear when exactly it will arrive for everyone.

Do you like Facebook’s new Dark Mode setting? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
