Microsoft partners with insurance firm Daman to develop the Health Bot.
Insurance film Damn has just launched a new AI-powered health bot that was made in collaboration with Microsoft. The Daman Health Bot will utilize the power of AI to help patients conduct their own self-assessment and determine if they could have COVID-19. The health bot is bilingual so it can reach a wider audience, and it can help give the right medical care for those who are infected.
The Daman Health Bot app will be asking patients a set of questions, where it can determine what specific protocol that the patient has to follow. The app can refer you to relevant UAE-based entities that can assist you in case you have COVID-19 symptoms that include the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH), UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP), and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
“We have a very important social responsibility to play during the pandemic crisis and protect the health and safety of people. The Daman Health Bot speaks to that effort by addressing queries and reducing person to person engagement,” says Hamad Al Mehyas, Daman’s CEO. “Partners such as Microsoft are empowering us with the right technology to better engage the public and provide the right level of guidance. The Daman Health Bot will reduce patient visits to hospitals, lessen workload on call centers, enhance the patient experience, and encourage them to proactively manage their health condition.”
The Daman Health Bot is accessible through the company’s website and on the mobile app.
