New products have been officially announced.
A day before the official start of IFA 2019 in Berlin, Sony has officially debuted new devices as part of its press conference that was held today. Senior Executive Vice President and Officer in charge of Electronics Products & Solutions Business, Sony Corporation Shigeki Ishizuka took the stage and affirmed the company’s vision to deliver ground-breaking hardware. Some of these devices included the new Xperia 5 and other ‘Personal Entertainment Solutions’ that feature the company’s own technologies.
Among the devices highlighted during the press conference included the 1000X series of headphones that includes the neckband-style WI-1000XM2, the headband-style WH-1000XM3, and the recently released WF-1000XM3.
Sony will also be exhibiting various audio technologies during IFA 2019, where visitors can experience 360 Reality Audio, a music experience that immerses you in the sound that emulates the feeling of being in a live concert.
The Signature Series for serious audiophiles will also be present, where you can emo the SA-Z1 near field powered speaker system. This system enables PCs, Xperia smartphones plus the Walkman and other audio devices to output the best sound possible.
In TVs, the new BRAVIA MASTER Series ZG9 8K HDR Full Array LED and AG9 4K HDR OLED TVs will be on display. These displays feature the Picture Processor X1 Ultimate that ensures you’re seeing the best image quality no matter the resolution. Other displays feature Android TV where you can use Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to execute some tasks. The new TVs now also support Apple’s AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, a feature that Sony said will be coming later this year.
For cameras, Sony’s Alpha APS-C mirrorless camera range will also be on display during the exhibition. This includes the Alpha 6600 and the Alpha 6100 along with Sony’s APS-C zoom G lens. The Alpha 7R IV full-frame camera joins the lineup along with the new RX100 VII, Sony’s latest iteration of the premium compact camera.
