Popular music streaming platform is now available.

Spotify, one of the most popular music streaming services, is finally available in the UAE and the rest of the MENA region. Signing up means you’ll get access to millions of songs from different artists across the globe.

An official launch last night finally revealed that Spotify will start streaming to everyone in the UAE starting today, and just like in other countries, it will have a free and premium version as well. The free tier will allow you to listen to shuffled music with ads or you can opt to pay 19.99 AED monthly to get on the premium subscription where you can download music to listen offline.

At the moment, a student discount and family plan that is part of Spotify’s paid options in other countries is currently not available here.

Spotify did say that there will also be a key focus on local artists in the region, where a dedicated team will curate and update playlists that will be changed weekly. Spotify’s algorithm also means that it can start recommending different songs to you depending on your listening preferences.

Spotify’s mobile apps on iOS and Android are now available for download. Along with that, apps for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One will soon be available.
