Spotify launches 2nd RADAR MENA collaboration featuring Issam Alnajjar, Loud Luxury, and Ali Gatie
April 8, 2021

“Turning Me Up” (Hadal Ahbek) will be available to stream on Spotify this Friday, April 9th.

Spotify’s RADAR program placed the spotlight on various rising talents around the world. Specifically for the Middle East, RADAR is highlighting Jordanian talent Isaam Alnajjar as its latest RADAR artist in MENA. This partnership will see the collaboration between the chart-topper and Canadian DJ duo Loud Luxury, and Iraqi-Canadian singer Ali Gatie.

This collaboration will help boost Alnajjar’s presence not just in the region but also in the world, offering discovery and best-in-class editorial and marketing support. Some of the marketing plans for this collaboration include billboard placements in New York’s Times Square along with various social promotions that will introduce his music to fans.

“Our partnership with rising superstar Issam Alnajjar marks another exciting chapter in our commitment to empowering emerging artists and strengthening their connection to regional and global audiences. We have been closely watching Issam’s steady ascent over the past few months – gaining immense popularity as a viral icon and building a vast community of fans in a remarkably organic way,” said Wissam Khodur, Artist and Label Partnerships, Spotify Middle East and North Africa.

17-year-old Issam Alnajjar’s most recent single has dominated the top spot on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 with 30 million+ streams. The single also stayed in the number one position on the Viral country charts in the US, UK, UAW, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, India, and Egypt.

“Hadal Ahbek” was a turning point in my career. Getting the chance to revisit it in English with Ali Gatie and Loud Luxury is insane. To add to that, having Spotify back me up and including me as part of their RADAR program is a great opportunity not only on a local level but on a global one as well,” said Alnajjar.

Spotify’s RADAR program has helped more than 175 RADAR-affiliated emerging artists and 23 sister programs around the world. Artists featured on RADAR have also collectively generated more than 100+ hours of listening.
