Taxis in the UAE will soon offer free Wi-Fi
May 31, 2016

More than 7000 taxis to have the new feature.

Abu Dhabi is the lucky emirate to get the first batch of taxis that will include free Wi-Fi. The announcement said that about 7,645 taxi will come with routers where passengers can opt to connect for free.

The rollout is expect to be completed by the end of this month – while there is no word as to when customers can fully enjoy the service, many still welcome the new feature.

It was also pointed out though that most of customers’ concerns stem from the form of payment offering by taxis, which at the moment only accepts cash. Paying in card is a suggested feature since having change is not always an option – hence most passengers prefer services like Uber.

But hey, you’re getting free Wi-Fi.
